Six months ago, we announced that our team was consolidating its technology and related projects into Cod3x, meaning that existing community members and DAO contributors would have a chance to access the new CDX token if they migrated their ecosystem tokens before 10/29/2024.
This effort was in response to a lack of growth in the DeFi market and waning interest in the yield aggregation vertical. After developing AI solutions for two years via Moon, we felt that re-weighting our efforts toward creating the world’s best AI solution for finance was the best use of resources.
Getting on the Same Page
Cod3x is an entirely new project with new goals and a new tech stack. When the migration window closes on October 29th, users won’t have the option to migrate any longer. However, this doesn’t mean CDX will go live on this date.
Users who have migrated will receive CDX tokens at the point of TGE – likely around six months after the migration closes. Any un-migrated tokens at that point will no longer be supported by our team. Leftover CDX from the migration will be earmarked for future ecosystem grant programs, and the ecosystem will move on to start its new go-to-market strategy.
What’s the Point of CDX?
We are creating CDX to consolidate our team’s efforts and focus toward a single point — creating the best possible way to interact with DeFi and the blockchain. CDX won’t need inflation to grow and will have the power to govern and interact with our growing ecosystem in a way that is beneficial to our users and partners alike.
If you haven’t checked in on the state of DeFi tokens lately, they aren’t seeing the same attention as other verticals within crypto. We’ve assembled one of the most elite engineering teams in crypto to redesign the fundamental value proposition of DeFi & have designed CDX to be complementary to our effort.
The CDX token itself will have a number of uses: as governance, for staking to receive Cod3x Network tokens, and even to pay for AI computation within the Cod3x app. We believe that our technology is mature enough to grow without the need for constant inflation, and look forward to sharing our upcoming partnerships and associated research to reinforce this claim.
